About this Event
For the 2021 Summit, our theme is “Lessons in Resiliency: Rising from the Pandemic”. Join us for a full day of panels, workshops, and presenters with a focus on health equity, resilience from trauma, and improved community outcomes. The target audience is youth and family service agencies, school districts, local educators, non-profit organizations, childcare providers, parents, youth leaders, and community members from across Yolo County.
Learning tracks will be: General Education, Educators, Parents, and Youth.
Registration includes complimentary breakfast and lunch.
The Resilient Yolo planning group is built around the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) study, with goals to build awareness about childhood trauma and create methods to improve the lives of at-risk youth. The annual conference is hosted in partnership with Resilient Yolo, Yolo County Office of Education, Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency, Yolo CASA, Yolo Conflict Resolution Center, Family Hui and other community organizations. Funding for the summit comes through a $3 million award to the UC Davis Perinatal Origins of Disparities (POD) Center to build and strengthen community-based health and social support systems in Yolo County to address Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress.
