About this Event
As the harvest season arrives, we're invited to think not only about abundance, but also about the systems that make it possible, and how these systems are changing.
Join us on Wednesday, September 9 from 6:30pm-7:45pm for the third part of the four part Rooted Conversations Speaker Series at Crown Point Ecology Center.
Building on our May, and June sessions, Living Soil: The Hidden World That Feeds Us, and Life in Motion: Pollinators, Wildlife and Food Webs, we'll explore how soil health, water movement, and shifting weather patterns shape resilient farms and food systems, and why working with natural processes is essential in a changing climate.
Led by Sarah Barrow from Summit Soil and Water Conservation District, this session will examine how conservation practices support productive land, protect resources and help local farms adapt to evoloving conditions.
Designed for growers, gardeners, landowners and community members alike, this session offers practical, locally grounded insight into how healthy land supports both resilient harvests and resilient communities.
