About this Event
The aims of the meeting are:
1) Introduce the scope of ESRC project “Solar Planning in the UK” (Solar Planning in the UK | The School of Social Science | The University of Aberdeen (abdn.ac.uk))
2) Disseminate preliminary findings on factors influencing solar planning in England.
3) Provide an opportunity for cross-stakeholder discussion through a chaired panel debate. This will include 6 panelists discussing priorities for solar planning in the North-East of England (PI Solar planning project, Planning Officers from NE Councils, Developer, Rep local advocacy group)
4) Create a space for collective participation in agenda-setting. We will provide a feedback board / box that allows anonymous proposals / involvement of all stakeholders on how they envision solar planning for the area.
5) Facilitate inter-network discussion in a laid-back environment. We will host a networking reception with refreshments so that all participants can enjoy a glass of wine and get the chance to meet others interested in solar planning in the North East.
