About this Event
Join us in Edinburgh on Wednesday 13th November for a half-day event hosted by the Research Network on Children’s Human Rights (https://edin.ac/3LkyKdV)!
The programme will include a lecture by Professor Simon Hoffman, Professor of Law at Swansea University and Co-Ordinator of the Welsh Observatory on Human Rights of Children. The lecture will be followed by a short Q&A.
Later in the afternoon, we will have a panel on UNCRC implementation and accountability in light of the UNCRC Act coming into force, with confirmed panellists from the Children's Commissioner's office, Rosemary Agnew (Scottish Public Services Ombudsman) and a Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament, and more to be announced.
This event will take place at the Paterson’s Land building on the University of Edinburgh Holyrood campus.
As we anticipate a lot of interest in this event, please limit in-person attendance to one representative per organisation.
If you would like to attend in person but there are no more in-person tickets, please email us at to be put on the waitlist.
The Research Network is hosted by the Observatory of Children's Human Rights Scotland (www.ed.ac.uk/education/observatory). The Observatory is a collaborative of Scottish organisations working to drive implementation of children’s human rights in Scotland, with local impact and global learning. We are grateful to the Royal Society of Edinburgh for funding the Research Network.
