How can researchers effectively engage with communities in conflict-affected areas? What are the benefits and challenges of using participatory methods in peace and conflict research? A panel featuring four global fellows will share insights from WarEffects-funded projects (www.wareffects.eu).
Drawing on their fieldwork in Etiopia, Mali, Liberia, and Colombia, they will reflect on the complexities of working in fragile settings and discuss how participatory action research can shape knowledge production, elevate local voices, and address ethical dilemmas in the field.
