Rescue Board Book Review with Eric Saul, Founder of Visas for Life
About this Event
Join Eric Saul for a presentation on Rescue Board: The Untold Story of America’s Efforts to Save the Jews of Europe which tells the dramatic, little-known story of the War Refugee Board, created by Franklin D. Roosevelt and led by John Pehle. Learn how the War Refugee Board carried out daring rescue operations—providing food and medicine, forging documents, negotiating ransoms, supporting resistance efforts, and helping Jewish refugees escape. Drawing on years of research and newly uncovered archival materials, Holocaust historian Rebecca Erbelding reveals America’s efforts to save Jews during the Holocaust.
