About this Event
In 2023, the Connecticut General Assembly passed Public Act 23-41, which requires the development and implementation of a plan for residential campuses to provide access for students who live on said residential campuses to reproductive health services from a healthcare provider licensed to provide such services.
As the plan becomes finalized for implementation, the Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity (CWCSEO) and University of Connecticut's Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy (InCHIP) invite you to gather for a day of collaboration and learning around reproductive health care on our college campuses. Hear from our students around the state, medical personnel, staff, administrators, elected officials, policy experts, and campus and community advocates to:
- Learn about Connecticut's legislative progress towards supporting reproductive justice
- Learn about the current science and best practices for various reproductive health topics
- Explore best practices for supporting provision of reproductive health services to students, through the campus health center, but also via community partnerships
A separate clincial track with medically-focused sessions has been created for Continuing Medical Education (CME) students that can be taken for credit.
Lunch will be provided. Please register by Sunday, September 29th at 5 PM to ensure an accurate meal count.
