Reproductive Freedoms: an exploration of reproductive health and our bodies

DESCRIPTION

In this 3 hour session for Muslim women and people who can get pregnant we will discuss: reproductive healthcare and justice, bodily autonomy, informed consent, pregnancy endings, community support and self care.

We will start the session by setting up a safe and respectful space, followed by a grounding exercise leading into a variety of discussions about female reproductive lives. With mindfulness and care at the centre we hope you will leave feeling supported,

empowered and heard.

This space is confidential and respectful, and it will be led in collaboration between Ammaarah from Ad’iyah Collective and body mindfulness practitioners Stefania and Amarnah. The space will be facilitated by a mixture of Muslim and non-Muslim women.

Ad'iyah Collective is a Reproductive Justice Collective and community of Muslims who have experiences of pregnancy ending. The collective began in May 2022 and provides support, love and dua for Muslims and their communities throughout their pregnancy ending journeys. They do this through healing spaces, abortion support circles and knowledge sharing spaces.
