About this Event
Join us for breakfast and discussion as several attendees of Sanctuary Indy's trip to Eden Village share what they learned and how we can adapt Eden Village’s model to permanently reduce chronic homelessness in Indianapolis.
What happens too often is our homeless neighbors living with disabilities are housed for a period of time, but are unable to thrive in the long-term. They end up cycling in and out of the system without true healing or improvement.
Our city's Point-in-Time homelessness count last year recorded over 400 chronically homeless individuals—including dozens of chronically homeless families—who are falling through the cracks of our current housing models.
Last month, a group of Hoosiers visited Eden Village, a Christ-rooted supportive housing community in Springfield, MO, to evaluate why this model has succeeded where so many others have failed.
By providing a higher level of care, building intentional community, maintaining deeply-affordable tiny homes, and offering on-site supportive services, Eden Village has reduced their city’s chronic homelessness by 24%.
We're adapting this model for Indy at the innovative Circle City Village community, which is under construction next door to this event at Lynhurst Baptist Church.
Come for breakfast, discussion, and a tour of the future home of Circle City Village.
