Repetition Party

At the repetition party, a safe and supportive space, people from different ethnic backgrounds, ages, races, genders, and social classes will be invited to join in a one-hour repetitive movement practice synchronized with the pulse of the music to achieve a meditative and psychedelic state. Repetition as a structural improvisational method will offer participants infinite exploratory and creative space. The music will primarily feature repetitive techno music.

This music-movement happening is able to create a liminal space where individuals are temporarily removed from their common social roles and come together. Here, we believe that repetition will lead to personal physical transformation, interactive joy, and the attainment of a transitional state across space and time.

The Repetition Party consists of: Introduction, 1 hour non-stop practice, and sharing.

OPEN LEVEL: No pre-experience needed, just an open heart.

The practice will be led by Xue in English, who is currently conducting research on Ongoing Repetition in music and movement.

• The event fee ranges from 5 to 10 euros, depending on whether you're working, a student, or have a low income.
