Repair Your Wear Inclusive Craft Workshop

An adaptive craft workshop for people with disabilities and their friends & families. Have fun and learn skills for repairing your clothing.
About this Event

This workshop will focus on easy to learn techniques that require little equipment and use easily sourced and upcycled supplies. These will not only enable you to repair your clothing but also to customize and decorate your clothing to express yourself!

The workshop includes a kit for each participant so you can continue to use these skills at home.

The course will cover the basics of techniques such as:

• Shashiko patching/embroidery
• Reverse patch
• Iron on patch
• Fabric paint - stamping
• Sewing on buttons/beads
• Fixing itchy spots
• hemming/adjusting fit

This clas will provide accommodations, accessibility tools, and resources to learn more at home.

Workshop registration is free for participants thanks to a grant from the Utah Autism Counil and space donation from Spectropolis.
