About this Event
REPAIR SHOP: A Tool Library Literary Salon
On Saturday, March 7, join us for an AWP offsite literary salon celebrating repair in all its forms at Baltimore’s glorious Station North Tool Library. We'll have story and poetry readings, light crafting, relaxation, hydration, and community poem repair. We hope it's a leisurely, restorative late afternoon to help us all come down off a week full of overindulgence in the English language.
After the readings, you can fill your belly at one of the nearby restaurants that are walkable from the Tool Library, such as Guilford Hall, Mera Kitchen Collective, Tapas Teatro, Alma, Foraged, Comptoir du Vin, or Royal Blue.
Doors open at 4:30, readings from 5-7pm.
Accessibility Note: The entrance and main area of the readings and activities are ADA accessible, but the bathroom is not.
About the Tool Library:
The Station North Tool Library is a nonprofit tool-lending library and community hub in the heart of Baltimore City. We seek to empower all people to improve their lives and environments, through affordable access to tools, skills, and workspace. We offer over 3,000 tools, 30 classes, a public woodworking shop, a dedicated DIY workspace, and a home repair classroom. Our space is a welcoming environment where people can be creative, foster a do-it-yourself attitude, and learn to work with their hands. We share what we know and learn from each other! https://toollibrary.org/
