Repair: Part science, part art, all good for communities

When something stops working, we have a choice: fix it or throw it out? With curiosity and a little bit of knowledge, a lot more things are fixable than you might imagine. Join us to learn basic repairs - from rewiring a lamp to mending your clothes to tuning up your bicycle - from local experts.
The Twin Ports and Dovetail Cafe have been at the heart of a local fix-it movement. This month, we will welcome back Emma Pardini and she will be joined by a few tinkerers to talk about the benefits of repair, including some hands-on fix-it instructions.
Is it science? Is it art? It's partly both, but one thing's for certain: learning how to fix broken things is a great thing for our community. Join us for this collaborative talk on Thursday Nov 5th at 6pm at Dovetail Cafe.
