How to book your item for the repair cafe:
Please book your free tickets on our website so that we can monitor predicted numbers of attendees.
If you have an item at home that needs fixing, fill in the form below and the museum's eco project coordinator will be in contact with you by email to confirm your place:

Please note that the museum will not accept items that have not been prebooked. Please fill in the form for each item you wish to bring.
What if your item can't be fixed?
The Centre for Computing History's repair cafe will also have an e-waste bin available on the day incase your item can't be fixed. Previously we have helped save 123kg of e-waste from going to landfill by supplying the community with an accessible e-waste bin!
There will also be free refreshments available for visitors and volunteers. The aim of a repair cafe is to not only fix your items but also teach you valuable skills by sitting down one on one with the repairer to share advice for the future. Repair cafes are learning opportunities so please feel free to ask questions and make the most of the experience!
The project is funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association. The exciting initiative will engage the local community in exploring the environmental and social impacts of the tech boom.
