Repair Cafe at UCI

Our Repair Cafe is the perfect place to bring your broken items and get them fixed for free. Whether it's a broken toaster or a wobbly chair, our skilled volunteers are here to help. Enjoy a cup of coffee while you wait or learn a thing or two about fixing things yourself. Let's reduce waste together and give your belongings a new lease on life. See you there!

We are a group of UCI students and local volunteers with a diverse set of hands-on skills. Our volunteers help the local community repair their broken items to reduce waste and promote sustainable consumption in and around UCI!

***DISCLAIMER***

Our volunteers are primarily UCI students. While we do have a process to gauge the technical skills of our volunteers, we cannot guarantee that we can fix everything and we do not claim to be experts. Before arriving to our event, it would be helpful for you to do some research ahead of time on the items you would like us to repair (especially related to electronics), to ensure they are suitable for repair.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen tools. Please keep track of all the tools you bring to our event.

Parking Information:

Paid parking is available in the Social Sciences Parking Structure. Use the Pay-by-Space Dispensers at the entrance to purchase a permit and park in any Pay-by-Space spot. Parking tickets are available at $5.00 per hour. All vehicles parked on the campus are required to display a valid parking permit at all times. Permit dispensers are available at all times and accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and cash.
