RentWise is back! The Johnson County Affordable Housing Coalition and CommUnity Crisis Services are partnering to offer RentWise classes this winter.
RentWise is a free, in person education program for renters and those with the goal of renting. Meals for participants will be provided, as well as child care for children 0-10 years!
RentWise is a tenant education program designed to help individuals find and maintain decent, safe, and affordable rental housing. At the completion of the program, participants will receive a RentWise certificate to include as a supporting document in their future rental applications.
We will be offering 2 formats to the training: a 5-week, evening session starting in November, and a 2-day weekend Crash-Course that covers all of the same material for our neighbors that are not available on week nights! These sessions will take place in Iowa City at CommUnity’s new classroom space.
Weekly Session Dates: (5 sessions) November 5th, 12th, 19th, & December 3rd, 10th
Weekly Session Time: 6PM - 7PM
Crash Course Dates: November 7th and 8th
Crash Course Time: 9AM - 1PM
Location: The CommUnity Classroom in Pepperwood Plaza at 1055 HWY 6 East, Iowa City, IA
