Renovation & Decoration Workshop: Make an impact with colour

Welcome to a day-long interior design workshop to help you cost-effectively decorate your home, using colour as one of the least expensive ways to make a big difference. This workshop starts with a walk-through the house and discussion of the decision making process along with cost-effective ways the decoration was achieved.

Invited guest Lindsey Glover is an interior designer with years of industry and teaching experience at RMIT will guide you through some delightful hands on exercises to explain how to put colour together in your home. Lindsey has specialised in colour (including whites) - which is a whole field of interior design in itself. She has travelled the world to colour training seminars, and to see colour used in different cultures and design styles.

We will spend time focusing on your home, how to prioritise what you want to do, defining your goals and creating a vision for what it will look like, and how to get there. And how to feel great about saving money as you go.

The workshop explores the practicalities of using colour and how to choose a scheme that complements your design goals to create a cohesive and harmonious look throughout your home without breaking the bank.

Throughout the workshop, we have hands-on activities where you experiment with colour and design, and we provide some information on materials suppliers and where to source products.We explore budget-friendly options for painting, fabrics, and accessories that can add pops of colour to your design without breaking the bank. Also discussed is the psychology of it all!!

We are excited to hold this workshop in a beautiful country house and garden at Mount Macedon on the outskirts of Melbourne. The location provides the perfect setting for inspiration and creativity, surrounded by nature and the serene countryside. You will have the opportunity to see the house and garden and be guided through the design ideas and decisions made by the owner and designer to deliver a beautiful home.
