The Reno Pops Orchestra proudly announces Aurora Borealis, a captivating concert taking place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Nightingale Hall on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, as part of its 2025–2026 concert season, “IMAGINE!”, under the direction of Maestro Dr. Jane K. Brown.Imagine climbing frozen ice mountains of the far North, the air sharp and still—until you reach the summit, where the wind begins to sing and the sky ignites with dancing aurora lights, turning silence into music. Aurora Borealis explores the beauty, mystery, and imagination inspired by northern landscapes through a dynamic blend of classical and contemporary works. The program highlights musical storytelling and cross-genre creativity, offering audiences an immersive and imaginative listening experience.
Inspired by winter landscapes, light, and fantasy, the concert features a crossover of musical styles, including selections connected to The Snow Queen and other evocative works that reflect the spirit of imagination.
