Renewal / Return — Prayer & Worship Gathering

Across the Church, we’re noticing a growing call to prayer, repentance, worship and a renewed sense of consecration.
From 11 September to 1 October, followers of Jesus in more than 110 nations are participating in ‘Global Consecration’ - a season that invites churches and denominations to return wholeheartedly to Jesus through repentance, prayer, fasting and consecration.
Alongside this, Jeremy Riddle has issued a call around the world to set apart the 21st September as a day of prayer, fasting, repentance and worship: a simple invitation to turn our hearts again toward God.
In response, we’re opening our doors at 7 Foundry Street, Toowoomba City from 6:30 pm on Monday, September 21 and inviting Christians from across our city to gather together.
This will be a simple space devoted to prayer, worship and consecration: an opportunity to humble ourselves before God, seek His face, repent, listen, and offer ourselves again to Him.
We’ll also have a number of simple prayer and reflection stations throughout the space, each centred on biblical themes of returning, repentance, renewal and consecration - creating room to pause, reflect, pray and respond personally.
The invitation of Joel 2 feels especially timely in this moment:
“Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love…”
We’re not gathering to manufacture a moment.
We simply want to respond.
To return.
To repent.
To seek His face.
To worship King Jesus.
To make ourselves available again to God.
All are welcome.
