Remodeling Your Bathroom

The bathroom may be a small space, but having a nice (or not so nice) bathroom can have an impact on your daily quality of life. Bathroom renovations involve many decisions that balance budget concerns with the features you want.

This workshop will cover doing it yourself or hiring a contractor, ways to build in accessibility, safety, ease of cleaning and maintenance, and water savings. Gain a general overview of what is involved and how much time and money you should be prepared to spend. The workshop will be held in the BBR Co-op conference room.

You will be able to:

• Understand what’s involved in a bathroom renovation so you know what to expect in terms of time, money, and planning.
• Decide whether to DIY or hire a contractor by weighing the pros and cons for your specific project.
• Incorporate smart design choices that improve accessibility, safety, water savings, and ease of cleaning.
• Apply expert and peer feedback directly to your own bathroom plans or photos.
• Identify clear next steps so you feel confident moving forward with your renovations.

Attendees will submit photos/plans for review before class to [email protected]. We would like to receive photos, plans and/or questions by October 18 to allow time for review. This information will be sent to you in a confirmation email after registering.

By registering for this class, I hereby authorize Boston Building Resources to use pictures of me (or my child/ward) taken in a photograph, digital image, videotape, motion picture, and/or testimonial (written words). The undersigned hereby releases Boston Building Resources, its agents or employees, as well as any and all users and exhibitors of said pictures, from any and all claims, demands, accountings, and causes for which the aforesaid videotape, testimonial, motion picture, digital image, or photograph likeness may be used pursuant to this Consent and General Release. It is also my understanding that I will receive no compensation for my likeness or testimonial. If I opt out, I will inform staff at the registration desk before class stating that I do not want to be in photos.
