About this Event
Join John Martin’s author Paul Flavel and placemaker Barrie Harrop for a unique look back at The Gallerie Shopping Centre. Its 1979 opening offered a unique shopping experience and introduced Adelaide to the first R.M. Williams store and favourites like Orange Julius, Max’s chips and Oscar’s coffee. Harrop’s vision for The Gallerie later inspired his development of Melbourne Central.
Following the discussion, Paul and Barrie will accept Q&A from the audience.
Merchandise: copies of John Martin's (by Paul Flavel) will be available $75.00 (card only)
Access: The entrance to the meeting hall is located down a laneway off 25 Pirie St. The ground surface is flat pavers and the pathway is mostly under cover.
Please be advised, the talk will be recorded for a podcast and photography may be taken during the event.
