About this Event
Join us for an inspiring symposium dedicated to the legacy, leadership, and future of Black educators on Wednesday, February 25th from 4-8pm at Morehouse College, Ray Charles Performing Arts Center (RayPAC). Remembering, Honoring, Multiplying the Black Educator Pipeline brings together educators, students, advocates, and community members to uplift the profound impact Black educators have had—and continue to have—on our schools, communities, and generations of learners.
This event will honor those who paved the way, recognize those leading with excellence today, and recommit to strengthening and expanding the Black educator pipeline for the future. This gathering also represents an opportunity to interrogate historical legacies, assess current pedagogical practices, and develop strategic frameworks for multiplying Black educational leadership in an era of both challenge and opportunity. Through reflection, recognition, and collective visioning, we will celebrate resilience, brilliance, and the power of representation in education.
Hosted in partnership by Morehouse Center for Excellence in Education (MCEE) and the Center for Black Educator Development, this gathering is both a tribute and a call to action—affirming our shared responsibility to support, sustain, and multiply pathways for Black educators to thrive. All are welcome to join us in this moment of remembrance, celebration, and forward-looking commitment.
Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
