Join us at the History Center (183 Main Street) on Saturday, October 5 at 2:00 pm as GOHS Board of Trustee and local historian Frank Antonucci gives a talk on Oneonta’s Civil War Soldiers.Riverside Cemetery serves as the resting place for numerous Oneontans who fought and died in the Civil War, with 160 having served and 27 memorialized by the Soldiers’ Monument. “Remember the Fallen: Oneonta’s Civil War Soldiers” will focus on the importance of this monument and Salem Church battle, as well as stories of noted veterans buried at Riverside.
