About this Event
Religious Lives of Our Clients – Friend or Foe? Ethically Integrating Religious Values into Counseling
Come join us for a thought-provoking discussion on how to ethically integrate religion into our work with clients. Faith, ethics, and counseling intersect every day in the lives of our clients. This 3-hour CE workshop will help you navigate that intersection with confidence - balancing clinical skill, ethical integrity, and cultural humility. Through a mix of didactic training and group consultation, you’ll gain tools to ethically integrate religious and spiritual values into your counseling practice.
Participants will be able to:
- Understand and differentiate terminology related to religion, spirituality, and values in clinical mental health
- Review research on the role and impact of religiosity in the lives of clients
- Consider contemporary approaches to integrating spirituality into clinical services
- Understand and be able to implement ethical standards of care and best practices for integrating spirituality into clinical services
