The media is Soft-Kut blocks and water base black ink. Materials are; 4x6” Soft Kut block, cutter handle with LinoZip cutter blade which could be kept for future classes, water base black ink tube, 20 sheets 9x20 '' printing paper for proofs.
Supplies are included with Ticket price
$50 per person for 2 day workshop about 2 hours each day

Beginner to advanced students
Relief Printmaking using Soft-Kut blocks and Lino-Zip cutters.
Students will get hands-on experience using easy and safe materials to produce relief prints. Will start with a brief motivation activity, where the students will see examples of my prints and prints of others produced with Soft-Kut and Lino-Zip. Students will be given time to develop an individual plan and use transfer techniques to get their image on the block and ready to carve. When their blocks are ready, they will carve away desired areas to create a block suitable for printing. The students will ink and print their images and wash the blocks for future use. Time permitting, the students can create and carve a new image on the back of their block and print again. Will probably need to wait until the second session to carve and print their second image. The instructor will be there for one to one instruction as needed.
