Relearning Play, Softness, & Self-Expression
About this Event
Many women spend years focused on responsibilities, achievement, caregiving, productivity, and meeting the expectations of others. Somewhere along the way, play, curiosity, creativity, softness, and self-expression can begin to take up less space.
This experiential workshop is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and explore what it feels like to engage with yourself outside of performance, pressure, or productivity.
Through a combination of reflection, creative exploration, and hands-on experiences, participants will have the opportunity to reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been overlooked, hidden, or forgotten.
During this workshop, you'll be invited to explore:
- Play without needing to be "good" at it
- Curiosity without pressure or expectations
- Creativity as a form of self-expression rather than performance
- The impact of survival mode, perfectionism, and overfunctioning
- What it means to reconnect with yourself in small, meaningful ways
What to Expect
The workshop will begin with a brief grounding exercise and reflection on how stress, burnout, perfectionism, and life responsibilities can disconnect women from play and self-expression.
Participants will then have the opportunity to move between several experiential stations designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, reflection, and self-connection. Activities may include sensory exploration, creative expression, building, journaling, and playful engagement.
No artistic ability, creativity, or prior experience is required.
This workshop is about the process—not the outcome.
Included
- Guided reflection and discussion
- Experiential activity stations
- Materials and supplies
- Light refreshments
- A small take-home goodie bag
