Come join us at Gosforth Civic Theatre for a Relaxed Screening of this documentary about filmmaker Otto Baxter and his autobiographical horror film, The Puppet Asylum:

A feature-length documentary following 35-year-old Otto Baxter as he writes and directs his first short film, THE PUPPET ASYLUM. Through his work, Otto finds the vocabulary to process his past and imagine his uncertain future. He tackles his demons head-on, but always with a riotous sense of humour.

Doors open approx 3.30pm

Short Film 2: Will of the Handbag (5 minutes)

Short Film 3: The Unwelcome Visitor (1 minute)

This event is designed to be a relaxed and inclusive experience for disabled and neurodivergent audiences, their family, friends and supporters. It is open to anyone who is accepting of audiences with a range of access requirements. We can't wait to see you there!

During this screening:

• The lights will stay on at a low level
• The volume will be a bit lower
• You can move around and make some noise if you need to
• There will be a chill out space if you need to take a break
• The film will have English Language Descriptive Subtitles
• No ads or trailers but a 2 minute film about how Relaxed Screenings work will be screened just before the film
