Relaxed Experiences June 24 (All Percussion with Vern Griffiths)

Join the VSO Percussion Quartet - Vern Griffiths, Aaron McDonald, Zach Masri, and Julia Chien on Wednesday June 24th for our next Relaxed Experience, a musical event that's welcoming, inclusive, and open to audiences of all ages including neurodiverse individuals, people with sensory sensitivities, and families with young children. Come experience music in a comfortable, supportive atmosphere!
Each Relaxed Experience includes:
⭐A Sensory Exploration Room where participants can engage in hands-on activities before or during the concert
⭐A Relaxed Concert featuring live music in Pyatt Hall at 11 AM, including music by Bach, Taylor Swift, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Khachaturian, Bruno Mars, and traditional marimba music from Zimbabwe and Mexico. Audience members are welcome to move, make noise, and step in and out as needed.
⭐A Quiet Room with low lighting and minimal stimulation, providing a calm space for anyone who needs a break
By removing barriers and reducing performance formalities, Relaxed Experiences celebrate music as a shared joy, ensuring that everyone feels welcome to connect, listen, and participate in their own way. This all-percussion concert will avoid sudden loud sounds, and will be fun and engaging for all.
