The American Civil War was not only a clash of armies and ideologies but also a crucible in which bonds were formed. Loyalty, friendship, family, and even enmity were shaped and tested both on the battlefield and within the halls of government across a divided nation.The 2026 ACWM Symposium explores the human connections that emerged from conflict. It will be from Friday, February 13 through Sunday, February 15.
