Celebrate the holidays with an educational afternoon with your Garfield County Libraries and an up close encounter with a pair of reindeer from Noel Productions! The first event will be Friday, Dec. 6 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in New Castle during the tree lighting event at Burning Mountain Park. The second will be on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Rifle Branch Library as part of Hometown Holidays. The next event will be on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Glenwood Springs. Then on Saturday, Dec. 14 there will be an event from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Silt, and another from 2 to 4 p.m. in Parachute and both will be part of each town’s holiday celebrations. The final event will be on Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 3 to 5 p.m. in Carbondale. All are free and open to the public. For more information visit www.gcpld.org or visit your local library.
