About this Event
This event, co-hosted by the Federal Bar Association, Southern District of Texas Chapter, the Association of Women Attorneys (Houston), and the Houston Bar Association Gender Fairness Committee, and sponspored by Beck Redden LLP, is designed to inspire women lawyers who may be trying to "balance" their many responsibilities and may wonder if they are on the right path. We are excited to have a fantastic keynote speaker, KC Davis (strugglecare.com), who is known for helping women figure out how "everyday life could be easier." The event also includes a CLE panel, moderated by Anna Archer (Hicks Thomas LLP). Ms. Archer, as well as panelists Hon. Yvonne Ho (U.S. District Court), Prof. Alissa Rubin Gomez (University of Houston Law Center), and Jessica Gonzalez (Abbey Partners), have all shifted course at some point in their legal careers. They will discuss their career paths, the turns they have taken, and the factors they considered along the way. The panelists hope to inspire women to reimagine their paths, wherever they are, by considering what it most important to them for growth, personally and professionally, and finding a way to move forward with those goals in mind, whether it is via a straight road or winding path. After the CLE and keynote address by Ms. Davis, everyone will have a chance to chat at a Happy Hour hosted by Beck Redden.
