Reimagined Worlds: A Cultural Bridge in NYC
About this Event
Experience the beloved music of Studio Ghibli in a fresh and unforgettable live performance featuring piano, bilingual vocals in Japanese and English, and the joyful artistry of American tap dance.
This one-night-only concert celebrates the spirit of cultural exchange. Like New York City itself, where different histories, influences, and artistic traditions come together to create something new, this performance draws on Japanese music and American tap dance to create an experience that is both familiar and unexpected.
Whether you grew up with My Neighbor Totoro, discovered Spirited Away later in life, or simply love beautiful live music and dance, this concert welcomes audiences of all ages. Families, anime fans, music lovers, and curious New Yorkers will share an evening of imagination, artistry, and discovery.
Above all, this is an invitation to experience these beloved melodies live, together with others, and celebrate the joy, nostalgia, and connection they inspire.
We have worked to keep ticket prices affordable at $15 (excluding Eventbrite fees) and to reserve a limited number of complimentary community tickets because we believe this celebration of music, culture, and connection should be open to as many people as possible.
If you would like to further support this effort, an additional donation is warmly appreciated. Your support helps us continue creating accessible arts experiences while ensuring that the artists, musicians, dancers, crew, and creative team who bring this work to life are supported and compensated with the care and respect they deserve.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on Oct 2nd!
