• History and origins of Reiki
• The concept of energy and life force (Qi or Ki)
• • How Reiki works to promote healing / What is your relationship with energy?

• The 5 Reiki Principles:
• • A simple code for living mindfully and harmoniously
  • Examples: “Just for today, I will not be angry,” etc.

• • Basic hand positions for self-healing
  • Techniques for balancing energy flow
  • Using Reiki for stress relief, pain management, and emotional well-being

• Understanding energy blockages and imbalances
• • How to clear energy blockages within your body
  • Introduction to the chakra system and their relationship to Reiki
  • Drawing/feeling/defining your own Energy field

• Course materials:
• • Handouts and additional resources are provided
  • Access to continued education and guidance after the class in Reiki Circle gatherings

• Open space for questions and reflection before Attunements
• • Discuss experiences, insights, and challenges

• Receive your Reiki Level 1 certificate at end of class
• • Recognition of your attunement and completion of the course with closing ceremony.

This class provides a solid foundation to begin using Reiki for self-healing and to help others. It is the introduction to Reiki and opens your path to further study in Reiki level 2.

Abigail + Shanequa will be your Reiki educators - holding this peaceful, welcoming space where you will learn the core principles of Reiki, including its history, techniques for self-healing, and hand positions for energy balancing. You will receive your Level 1 attunement, empowering you to practice Reiki and explore your relationship with Energy. The day includes hands-on practice, guided meditations, and supportive discussions to deepen your understanding.

Herbal teas, light snacks, soothing music, breaks, and a calming and welcoming atmosphere will make this a truly transformative educational experience. Come as you are and begin your journey of healing and self-discovery!
