Reiki Level I – Course Overview
9:30am-5:30pm (1 Day, approx 7 hours of study with breaks)
This natural healing modality originates in Tibet. The name "Reiki" (rey-key) comes from the technique as re-discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist in the early 20th century.
"Re" means "Universal" and it is a general term for spirit or unseen spiritual quality, which serves as channel for "Ki" or "Life Force Energy" (some call it God, Buddha, Chi, Qi, Prana, Love Energy, or similar). It relates to the superior, all-encompassing cosmic energy from which all other minor energies in the universe draw their power. The Reiki practitioner assists clients to heal themselves spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically by a simple laying on of hands.
Level I is the basic course in hands-on healing, which includes four separate energy-activating transmissions per person and complete training in the scientific use of the Reiki technique.
As spaces are limited, paid registration in full is required to confirm a spot in this class. We have not increased our class prices for a few years in order to keep this beautiful and essential training accessible to those who wish to learn.
No prior energy therapy experience needed. Reiki Level One is a one day class. Our course fee includes lunch and enjoyment of our exceptional loose leaf teas at The Tea Lounge. Upon registration in the class, you will be contacted to confirm your lunch selection prior to the course date.
Instructor, Michelle Pierce Hamilton is a certified Master Instructor of both Tera-Mai™ Reiki, and Integrated Energy Therapy®.
NOTE: A minimum of two registrants is required for the class to run. Reviewers are welcome (have taken our course previously) for special reviewer fee. All registrants are 'regular' unless they have previously taken Reiki One with Michelle - reviewers do not get a manual as they are to bring theirs. Those who have taken Reiki One elsewhere, and wish to deepen their study with Michelle, should register as 'regular' and will receive our full Reiki manual.
