✦ What is Reiki Level 1?
Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing practice — gentle, non-invasive, and deeply restorative. Level 1 is your attunement and foundation: the moment the channel opens, and you learn to use it.
In just two days together, you will:
🌿 Receive your Reiki attunement, activating your innate healing energy 🙌 Learn hands-on healing techniques for yourself, your family, children, and pets 📖 Understand the history, principles, and ethics of Reiki 🧘 Develop a personal daily self-healing practice you can use for life 📜 Earn a fully accredited Reiki diploma, recognised by the Reiki Council and CNHC 🤝 Leave with my ongoing support and lifetime community access.

✦ A Little About Me
I'm Katrina Clark, and I've been teaching Reiki since 2006. But what brings me to this work isn't just my training — it's lived experience of the very things many of you are navigating right now.
Alongside Reiki, I'm a Somatic Therapist trained in Compassionate Inquiry — the approach developed by Dr Gabor Maté. This means I understand deeply how the body holds stress, trauma, and emotion, and how healing happens not just through the mind but through felt, embodied experience. It shapes everything about how I teach and how I hold a space.
During perimenopause, I received a late ADHD diagnosis — something that happens to so many women when hormonal shifts make previously managed symptoms impossible to ignore. It was one of the biggest health challenges I've ever faced, and Reiki became a cornerstone of how I got through it: supporting my nervous system, improving my sleep, and helping me find steadiness on the hardest days.
Reiki also walked with me through my IVF journey. In the tender, uncertain space of fertility treatment, it gave me a way to stay connected to my body and release the anxiety I was carrying rather than holding it in. I now have two children, and Reiki is still woven into our family life every day.
I share all of this because I want you to know: when I teach, I'm not reading from a textbook. I'm speaking from the inside of an experience very like yours.
I keep my groups small by design — a maximum of eight students — because I believe everyone deserves real attention and genuine care.

No prior experience or special ability needed. Reiki isn't something you learn — it's something you're attuned to. I've taught complete beginners from every walk of life.

My training is built on the Reiki Council's Core Curriculum and meets the requirements of the CNHC and UK National Occupational Standards. If you choose to continue to Level 2 and beyond, what we do together here forms the foundation of a pathway to professional practice — in clinics, hospices, and NHS-funded programmes.
Every level also stands alone. Many of my students come simply for themselves or their families, and that is more than enough.
