Reiki is a gentle yet powerful Japanese healing practice that works with Universal Life Force Energy to support balance in the body, mind, and spirit.
In this foundational Reiki Level 1 training, you will be introduced to the history, philosophy, and practice of Usui Reiki in a supportive and experiential environment. Whether you are new to energy work or feeling called to deepen your spiritual practice, this training offers both practical skills and personal transformation.
During this training, you will:
-Learn the history and lineage of Usui Reiki
-Understand what Reiki is (and what it is not)
-Explore the chakra system and how energy flows through the body
-Receive your Reiki Level 1 attunement
-Learn hand placements for self-healing
-Practice hands-on Reiki on yourself in a guided setting
-Discover how to incorporate Reiki into your daily life
Reiki Level 1 focuses on self-healing first. Many participants experience increased clarity, relaxation, emotional release, and a deeper connection to their intuition.
This training includes all course materials and a comprehensive manual to support your continued practice.
Reiki Level 2 Training will be offered in June.
Your Instructor
Denise Maple, trained by Annemieke Philipsen, is a Reiki Master, business and wellness coach, and spiritual guide, integrating mind-body-spirit awareness with grounded, practical application—creating a safe and welcoming space for exploration and growth. Denise has decades of teaching experience and was named to the List of Teachers Ranked as Excellent by Students at the University of Illinois. She also was awarded the Best of 2025 Reiki Therapist Award in Walworth County, Wisconsin by Business Rate.
No prior experience is necessary. This class is open to anyone who feels called to learn Reiki—whether for personal healing, spiritual development, or as the first step toward professional practice.
