Reiki is an ancient Japanese form of energy healing, and a type of alternative medicine. Reiki is the basics of any healing modality, light working and intuitive healing. The word Reiki means higher knowledge or spiritual consciousness. This wisdom comes from God or the higher self and is the god consciousness which is all knowing. It understands each person completely. It knows the cause of all problems, difficulties and how to heal them. The word Ki means life energy, also known as the universal life force energy. If it’s alive it has life energy circulating through it.
