REHIS Online Food Hygiene

Who is this for?

It is a legal requirement that your staff understand how to spot and reduce food hazards and handle food properly. This 2 part course is for any food handler who needs to achieve a Level 1 Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate.

Learning Outcomes 

On completion participants will:

• 
  
• Understand the principals to food safety;
  
• Understand microbiological hazards;
  
• Be able to identify food poisoning and its control;
  
• Recognise contamination hazards and controls;
  
• Understand safe handling and storage of food;
  
• Be aware of personal hygiene;
  
• Recognise food pests and pest control;
  
• Understand the importance of cleaning and disinfection.
  

Course Duration – must be completed within 6 months

Part 1 – minimum 20 hours online completion of 10 modules

Part 2 - 30 Minutes closed book exam 

Successful participants can progress to REHIS Intermediate Food Hygiene course.
