About this Event
Join the Reher Center for a joyful morning of storytelling, creativity, and gardening at our next Reher Reads for Kids program!
Together, we’ll read Tomatoes for Neela by Padma Lakshmi, a beautiful children’s book celebrating family, food, culture, and growing together. After the storytime, children will participate in a hands-on gardening craft in the Reher Center courtyard, where they will decorate their own tomato planter and take home a tomato seedling to grow.
This free family program is recommended for children ages 3–8, though all are welcome.
Reher Reads for Kids is a children’s storytime and craft series hosted by the Reher Center for Immigrant Culture and History.
Please note: The Reher Center gallery is located on the second floor and is currently accessible only by stairs.
