About this Event
The Global Writing Competition 2022 aims to give students the chance to express themselves through writing using a platform with Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) that can refine, enhance and perfect their writing. This will allow students to redefine the way they look at writing assignments through the help of various aided features on the platform.

Categories
This competition is open to 3 main student categories - Students aged between 12-15 years old, 16-18 years old and 19-20 years old. Students from each category will choose one out of the two questions provided and only one entry per student will be accepted.
Competition Details
How To Register?
In order to participate in the competition, educators will have to make payment via this registration page on Eventbrite on behalf of their students. Do note that if you are sending more than one student, do indicate the total number of tickets you will be purchasing, and an MCE personnel will reach out for the details of the students in order to create the Scribo accounts.
Each student will be charged SGD 10 (excluding administrative fees).
What to Submit?
Students will be tasked to submit a writing piece based on the category that they are in. There will be 2 essays (1 narrative, 1 persuasive) - students are to choose either piece to write.
Only one submission per student via the Scribo platform will be accepted.
Who Can Join?
This competition is currently open to all schools in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam.
How to Submit?
After educators have registered their students and made payment for the competition, each participant will be issued an individual Scribo account to do their writing on the Scribo platform and use the features to refine their writing.
Once they have completed their essays, participants will submit their final entries directly on the platform for grading.

Judging Criteria
Round 1:
Scribo’s Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) will sieve out the Top 10
pieces in each category based on the writing rubrics.
Round 2:
Entries will be further reviewed by MCE’s internal judging panel of educational specialists.
Terms and Conditions
1. Marshall Cavendish Education is the organiser of the Global Writing Competition 2022.
2. All information shared to us will follow Marshall Cavendish Education's data protection and privacy statements.
3. Winners will be informed via email or social media messenger depending on the information given.
4. Winners will be selected by the Organiser's internal panel of judges and the decision is final.
5. All entries are sent at the risk of the Contestant and in the event that there are technical difficulties experienced arising out of the internet or from any associated equipment or internet security is compromised, the Organiser may at its sole and absolute discretion disqualify the entire entry and shall not accept any liability doing so.
6. Late submission will be automatically void.
7. Marshall Cavendish Education reserves the right to change the prize of equivalent value as deemed fit
