Regional Alliance - Physical Literacy Training
About this Event
By successfully completing the Physical Literacy and Leadership Foundations course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create positive, engaging, and inclusive experiences for children and youth through sport and recreation.
The Physical Literacy and Leadership learning activities will prepare participants to:
- explain the importance of physical literacy and its role in developing confidence, competence, motivation, and enjoyment in movement;
- demonstrate effective leadership skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and positive role modelling;
- create safe, inclusive, and engaging environments that support participants of all abilities;
- understand the responsibilities of a leader and the impact they have on participants, peers, and their community; and
- apply strategies to encourage participation, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of physical activity.
This course is designed to help emerging leaders develop the foundational skills needed to become positive role models and effective leaders in sport, recreation, and community settings
