Region IV Medical Education Conference

The 2022 SNMA Region IV Medical Education Conference will take place on September 30th-October 1st, 2022. The conference will be held in-person at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan, Alabama. The theme for this year’s conference is “R.E.G.I.O.N. IV the Culture: Revitalizing, Energizing, Generating, Innovating Our Narrative IV the Culture”. The conference offers both medical and premedical students the chance to attend educational seminars, personal and professional development workshops, and networking events with medical professionals. Established in 1964 by medical students at Howard University and Meharry Medical School, the SNMA is the nation’s oldest and largest student organization focused on the needs and concerns of medical students of color. Today, the SNMA has grown to a body of over 8,000 members at academic centers and universities across the country. Representing the largest membership segment of the SNMA, Region IV serves the students of academic institutions in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina, and the Caribbean islands.
