Smith House Galleries at Arts Council of the Valley presents “Reggae on the Front Porch”featuring Harrisonburg’s own Virginia reggae ambassador, Ronnie Brandon aka i-Ron Lion.
Ronnie Brandon is a African-Jamaican- Native American rooted Southside Chicago born human rights activist , a Baptist Christian heavily influenced by the Rastafarian culture, a professional touring musician and artist (poetry & paintings) , who grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia ad graduated from Harrisonburg High School. He also studied Business Administration and Communications at Radford University
in SW Virginia.
His message is to love one another and his biggest influences are Jesus Christ, Haille Selassie I, Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley and John Lennon.
He prefers reggae music as the bed for most of his lyrics!
Come out and enjoy classic reggae music and more on the porch as iRon lion takes you on a roots, folkish, spiritual, Caribeean-sequel musical journey!
