About the Artists:
DJ Trichrome, the 'Vibesetta' has music flowing through his veins...Both local and global, 2018 marked 30 years that DJ Trichrome has been rockin' the decks and spreading his vibrations throughout the universe. He maintains his own niche in the world of digital media with REAL VINYL! Trichrome started his career as a DJ in 1988 alongside Pacesetter Sound System. He went on to co-found Three Kings Sound System in Minneapolis and currently plays with First Settlement Sound System. Trichrome has been a regular fixture in the 311 scene since he joined the Summer Unity Tour with Soulman and Sublime with Rome. He's shared the stage with many local, national and international recording artists and adds his own unique energy which sets the vibe and energizes the crowd.
The Lavender Project is an impressive line-up of local talent. Their show is bursting with energy and full of musical surprises. TLP blends vibes and transcends genres to produce their fresh take on hip-hop music. Each song takes on a life of its own with influences ranging from reggae to gospel to funk to punk. Blind Baby Olin were the best thing to come out of the 80's. A fantastic party band combining a bit of rock, reggae and roots along with a sprinkling of "Grateful". Join Kit Mayer (the original Blind Baby and ringmaster) on guitar and main vocals along with brother Hans (bass, mandolin, guitar and vocals), Terry Nirva (drums and all things percussion), Todd Saner (even more percussion), Tom Gibbons (lead guitar, bass and vocals), Code Man Cody Appel (keyboards, vocals and showman), Dick Danaher (sax and flute) and last, but certainly not least Tj Peterslie (harmonicas and spiritual advisor).
TUGG does an amazing job channeling tropical grooves and breezy melodies and is a top draw in the Midwest and beyond. They boast an impressive resume of rubbing shoulders with reggae heavyweights. From shows with Ziggy Marley, Barrington Levy and Slightly Stoopid to Tours with The Wailers, The Dirty Heads, and PASSAFIRE… TUGG continues to prove why they’re a star of the alternative reggae/ska scene. All of the band's last 5 releases have debuted in the Top 50 of the iTunes Reggae Chart. Their EP “Home Brew” climbed all the way to #2 and spent 3 weeks in the Hot 100 iTunes Reggae Album Chart. Their album “Mazes” was recorded and produced by PASSAFIRE’S Ted Bowne.
Dred I Dread is a Minneapolis, MN based Reggae Band. The Band features talented musicians from Jamaica, New Orleans, Minnesota and Turkiye. The diverse heritage of these band members echo in the sound of Dred I Dread.
The Band was formed in 1998 and chosen as "Best Local Reggae Band" by City Pages Magazine. The debut CD "Listen to the Revolution" was released in March 1999. The CD was produced by Reggae Keyboardist Tony “Asher” Brisset, one of the founding members of Black Uhuru.
During 2000 and 2001, Dred I Dread was named "Best Reggae Band in Minnesota" by the members of the Minnesota Music Academy.
Their latest release, Mount Zion, was digitally distributed from VP Records in the summer of 2022. The EP features six new original Reggae songs.
The EP was produced by the legendary Tony “Asher” Brissett, and co-produced by Saunjay “Triple Ace” Kerr, with associate production work completed by Serdar G. Dred I Dread crew Rawle G, Peewee Dread and Serdar G are the Executive Producers of the Mount Zion, EP.
The EP was recorded in Pure Fame Reggae Studios in Kingston, Jamaica by Courtney McLaughlin and in various recording studios including Minnehaha Recording Studios by Saunjay “Triple Ace” Kerr for vocals and other overdubs. All songs were mixed by Saunjay “Triple Ace” Kerr.
Dred I Dread shared stages with Chronixx, The Wailers, Yellowman, Israel Vibration, The Meditations, De La Soul, Jimmy Cliff, Sister Carol, Third World, Wailing Souls, Collie Buddz and many other international acts.
Dred I Dread's studio collaborations include Reggae legends including Earl Chinna Smith, Tony Asher, Flabba Holt, Dean Fraser and Nambo Robinson. The Band have proudly performed at events and festivals in Jamaica.
Recognized as the Minneapolis Reggae Legends by the local media, Dred I Dread' s music has been praised for its uplifting messages of love, unity, and social justice, making them a perfect fit for this festival that values positivity and inclusivity.
The band's live performances are renowned for their energy and passion, with Peewee Dread and Rawle G' s powerful vocals leading the charge. With more than 20 years of experience playing together and a deep understanding of the Reggae sound, Dred I Dread's rhythm section consists of Paul Kammeyer on bass, Adam Cole on drums, Alex G on keyboard and Serdar G on guitars creates a sound that is both timeless and contemporary. Their commitment to the art of Reggae music is evident in every note they play, and their performances are always filled with passion and energy.





Tickets are $20 advance/$27 day of show and are currently limited to 1000 groovy people. All ages welcome, but those 18 and under must be accompanied by a paid adult. 12 and under are free, 13 - 17 pay $10 at the gate, 18 and over require adult tickets.
No refunds. Gates open at 1pm.This is an outdoor, rain or shine event.
About the Venue
This relaxed venue overlooks the Mississippi, with fabulous sunsets and a warm, friendly vibe. Entry is through the Main Street gate of Hotel yard. Your name will be on our will-call list after you purchase your tickets here. Bring photo ID for proof of ticket purchase and consumption of alcohol. Pets are not allowed on grounds during this large show. No food or beverage may be brought in. Food and beverage is available for sale outdoors from our favorite food trucks. If you have foldable chairs in sacks, please keep bags in the car to speed up entry (and so you don't lose them). All bags and blankets will be checked. No coolers are allowed.
An ATM is located at the entrance. Only cash money is accepted for drink and ticket purchases during the festival.
