Spooky season is approaching! Come make a lovely version of a Regency mourning handbag. We will make the common "circular" style handbag popular from the late 18th century right through the Edwardian era, with a gothic mourning twist for Halloween.
This is an easy hand-sewing project, or you can use a sewing machine to speed up some of the steps. (Some hand-sewing is necessary.) For examples of circular reticules, please visit Catherine's Pinterest board: https://www.pinterest.com/cjscholar/circular-reticules/
KIT INCLUDES:
Handout, three fabrics, selection of center medallions, ribbon, cardboard forms, and thread.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

All sewing supplies are available at the Museum shop.
The class fee is $65.00, with a $45 kit fee (payable to the instructor).
Please contact us if you are interested in signing up for the class or have any questions, Monday through Friday, 12 - 6pm, 510-843-7290.
