ReGen Community Beautification Fund Workshop #1

The ReGen Artist Fund is a small grants program that seeks to provide artists with grant writing and artistic program planning skills to develop competitive artistic proposals. Through this program, artists participate in mandatory workshops that explore strategies to make artistic projects compelling, design projects that address community priorities, learn to target and reach an audience, build and track a budget, assemble strong work samples, and create a biographical summary of their practice. By the conclusion of the workshops, all participants will have the skills to complete and submit a project proposal and application for funding consideration from Galería de la Raza.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS

This grant cycle, Galería is funding art projects to activate the Mission Street corridor – from 14th Street to 22nd Street. Our vision for this grant cycle is to support artistic projects that center and activate a public space as a community resource and support and uplift the economic sector of the Mission Street corridor. Our goal is to activate “the commons” into a resource for community healing, civic engagement, and a reflection of values through thoughtful public art and interventions that foster a sense of belonging. The ReGen Community Beautification Fund looks to artists to steward temporary activities and interventions of the commons that reflect and celebrate the diversity of our neighborhood and offers residents a pop of whimsy and joy in their daily life.

Creation of work and any related public benefit must take place between May 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026.

In order to submit a completed application for consideration, applicants MUST participate and attend ALL four (4) training and development workshops:

February 12, 2026 - Workshop #1- Introduction to the ReGen Artist Fund - 4:30- 7:00 PM

*NEW DATE ADDED * February 21, 2026- Workshop #1- Introduction to the ReGen Artist Fund - 10:00- 12:30 PM

February 28, 2026 - Workshop #2- How to Build Your Narrative - 2:00 PM- 4:30 PM

March 14, 2026 - Workshop #3- How to Build a Budget - 2:00 PM-4:30 PM

March 26, 2026 - Workshop #4- How to Present Your Artwork - 4:30 PM- 7:00 PM

We are now accepting registration for the second date of Workshop #1. Registration for subsequent workshops will be done in person after completing Workshop #1. Deadline to register for the second date for Workshop #1 is February 19, 2026.

Please note: Only 30 spots will be made available and spots are first come first serve. Check your eligibility and the requirements before registering for the workshop. Go to for the guidelines and instructions.
