Refuge Open Air: Hot Honey Sundays w/ Todd Edwards, Rimarkable

Sunday, June 7th, Hot Honey Sundays lands at Refuge for the outdoor season opener and the beginning of a new open-air summer residency built around sound, movement, and community.

From 3PM–10PM, the outdoor grounds transform with a custom-built sound system and a brand new stage designed as an extension of Refuge’s world-class listening environment. The series brings the same depth, warmth, and physicality of the indoor sound experience into the open air.

This edition welcomes Todd Edwards and Rimarkable alongside Hot Honey residents Deo’Jorge and Anna Collecta.

A true architect of garage and house music, Todd Edwards’ influence can be heard across generations of dance music. His unmistakable vocal sampling style and deeply soulful approach to rhythm helped shape the sound of UK garage and inspired countless artists that followed. We’re incredibly honored to welcome him into the world of Hot Honey Sundays.

Joining him is Rimarkable, a true force in dance music whose influence stretches far beyond the booth. Detroit-born, shaped by formative summers in Chicago, and now rooted in New York City, Rimarkable channels house, disco, soul, techno, and rave-driven club sounds into sets that feel powerful and fully locked into the dance floor. A DJ, producer, vocalist, songwriter, and educator, she has spent more than two decades building a singular career grounded in community, liberation, and radical joy. Since first stepping behind the decks in the late ’90s, Rimarkable has shared stages with icons like George Clinton, Erykah Badu, Louie Vega, and Honey Dijon, while also becoming a respected voice within global dance music culture through her work with Defected Records and as host of the Defected Radio Show. Her sets move effortlessly through house, disco, garage, soulful club music, and deeper rave-driven sounds technical, emotional, and completely locked into the dance floor.

Alongside the guests, Hot Honey residents Deo’Jorge and Anna Collecta continue to shape the heart of the series bringing the energy, warmth, and musical direction that’s defined Hot Honey Sundays since the beginning.

3PM–10PM Open Air at RefugeRain or Shine

Refuge Hi-Def Dance Club is a 500-cap underground nightclub in East Williamsburg built around sound, energy, and atmosphere. At its core is REX, a custom 4-point system designed by co-founder Craig “Shorty” Bernabeu, with four 10-foot stacks surrounding the dance floor for a powerful, immersive experience. Each night is curated to push that system to its full potential — a true Musical Arts Performance in every sense.
