About this course
This course aims to refresh your maths skills for supporting your everyday life. It will help you to establish confidence in converting fractions to decimals and doing rounding and estimation.
Upon the completion of the course, the learners are able to:
Session One:
- Recognise different parts of a fraction and a decimal number
- Manage to convert factions to decimals effectively and confidently
- Notify and try to apply conversion skills in real-life situations
Session Two:
- Analyse the importance and the use of rounding and estimation
- Round and estimate numbers with basic skills
- Apply rounding and estimation in everyday life and carry out easy calculations
Resources required:
- Writing tools and blank paper
- Calculator

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required). As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
