Easy walk on paved multi-use trail to view significant reforestation project planted this spring. Rock Creek forms from runs coming down the mountain from Gambrill and Braddock Heights. They join up close to the Home Depot on the Golden Mile to form a unified creek. Rock Creek ends when it joins Carroll Creek directly on the west side of US 15. We will be gathering at Baughmans Ln and Rock Creek Drive. A land mark there is a historic two story house that was moved several hundred feet two years ago to allow room for a setback and a bike lane on Baughmans.
Lots of street parking on Rock Creek Drive. Navigate to 1612 Rock Creek Dr. Park.
Use the crosswalk to get to the 10 foot wide blacktop trail on the west side of Baughmans.
Second optional hour can be spent down stream in Waterford Park which is a must see.
