Reflecting on 750 & Moving Forward

In honour of the sacrifices of his freedom seeking ancestors, Teajai Travis walked a 787kms ancestral pilgrimage from Ottawa, back home to Windsor. The intentions of the walk are rooted in peace and unity, and the mission of the walk is dedicated to promoting and fundraising for youth outreach initiatives.
On August 1st, Emancipation Day, the first of 10 walks concluded at Jackson Park, the home of The Greatest Freedom Show on Earth! We humbly bow to our ancestors, as we express gratitude for our safe return but we know the work doesn’t end with the walk. On September 8th, we invite you and your voice to Blaze of Story! Listen to stories as Teajai reflects on the 32 day journey, and join in on a conversation about the future of 750 for Peace.
As always, Blaze of Story will be streamed live on Facebook. If you’re not able to join us at the cafe, you can tune in online. Teajai, Ninia and Menco have an announcement about the location of next year’s walk, and we have a few fun ways for you to continue to support and grow our mission to support the youth.
As always,
We wish you peace
We wish you joy
We wish you prosperity!
May your blessings continue to overflow abundantly, spilling from the lip of your bucket and onto those people who need them most.
PEACE! 💚👣
